Hoarding is often a debilitating mental condition where individuals accumulate excessive amounts of belongings and clutter. In some case, individuals may also hoard animals. Hoarding, more often than not, puts the well-being of the individuals and others who live in or may enter their homes at risk both physically and mentally. Hoarding is generally associated with anxiety, and I frequently see individuals diagnosed with this condition also have a co-morbid spending/buying problem.
Once we have had our initial phone consultation, I am available for consultation in both the office and at your home. I can assist in your treatment as you clear out your home and am also available for aftercare therapy. I use many approaches in treating this condition and work with individuals to develop a thorough plan of care.
